Is there any credit card for debt consolidation?

I know sounds absurd to get a new credit card to consolidate your debts... I don't think that even works well! But just curious about it... Do you know of any card that can be used for balance transfers only?

I have seen promotional ads for cards, encouraging people to transfer their balances, but that was more than 8 months ago. I think the economy has probably had a chilling affect on these offers, but I could be wrong!

I think that would work, only if they offered really compe***ive rates. Otherwise, I don't think its worth it. But I've been thinking of that approach to help my self with my debts!
