Greetings to all,
I have and issue with my Bank unwillingness in reducing my credit card APR. 2 years ago I was able to apply for a credit Card and established and maintained a good FICO score. But still have problems getting a loan or a better APR Credit card approved from Banks. Recently my original Bank got swallowed up by another Bank and the APR which I started with 19.00 % went up to 27.4 %. I have a credit card with balance of 1700.00 and logging in to my account I don't see it going down, even though I pay my monthly payment on time. I have other credit card from other Banks and other bills and been paying them on time. I have very good paying records on my credit report, but the only major bad record I have is the charge off account I had with another Bank about 10 years ago and till today is damaging my creditworthiness.
My Bank is arrogantly but politely refusing to lower my 27.4 % APR, I spoke to the Bank manager with no avail. What are my chances of finding another Bank for a balance transfer to a lower APR credit card? Today I applied for a small Loan and got refused because of my 679 points FICO and my credit report charge off account I still have on my credit report.
Any suggestions?
