Default Which card for bad credit?

    Hi

my credit has taken a plunge due to some cir***stances. I need to get a credit card. Heard about Orchank Bank, First Premier Bank. Can anyone tell me the best one to get in terms of both fees and rebuilding my credit. I do not want to get turned downed (or turned down too often)...

I got my Orchard and First Premier when my credit took a hit. You should be able to get these cards. You have to live with the higher fees compared to the no annual fee cards around.

Also have the Orchard and the First Premier. I think most of us will have a couple of cards. Am now looking to try and get a regular no annual fee card and dump these fee based cards.

I have the Orchard, first premier and imagine. Orchard has been good for me . Good customer service. But I am also at the stage where I am trying to get rid of these "fee" subprime cards and get a regular no annual fee or amex card.

Had the Orchard and first premier. If I were to do it all over again, I would get just one secured card instead (like maybe the orchard secured card). That way, you pay one annual fee, open an account account and have a credit line that is equal to the amount of your deposit. (if not, the credit card issuer determines your CL). You will save a lot on fees.

I agree with flatscreen that you will probably end up getting a couple of them. I have the orchard, first premier and tribute. But after a while, the fees really add up. I am now trying to get a no annual fee card and dump the tribute and first premier. They have served their purpose and I hope to get a no annual fee credit card soon. But you should also consider just getting the orchard secured card as the fees are low and you set your own credit limit (***uming you have the money for the deposit).

Default Credit cards for bad credit

    Hi

When I got my credit ruined by the banks, I got offers from Orchard Bank. I didnt like the small print. So I didnt apply. I just thought I should remain credit card free.
My friend filed for BK and within a year, he started receiving all kinds of offers from many different banks. For fun, he applied to American Express and for some reaosn he was granted a card. Now he has no problem with most credit issues.

I think other than using an established credit repair service (which is what I did, thank God), we all just have to build our credit up slowly. If you go the Orchard route, just use the card to show that you can make some payments and hopefully you can get offers from free cards before the next annual fee date.
