Expresspay, anyone?
Anyone has this? It's a credit card from American Express. You don't have to swipe or sign anything when you make a purchase. You just have to hold your cc in front of a reader, that's it.
My mother gave me one a couple months back. I really like it.

I've heard about those cards. That's a pretty neat feature, that I'm sure all issuers will start to go to.
If you want information about other student credit card offers, check out the site in my signature.

I know that there have been companies that refused to accept Amex because of its payment structure, but that was quite a while ago and things may have changed.
Beware of college credit cards. When you leave college you won't be making much more than $10.00 per hour and your student loands will kick in 6 months after your last cl*** ends or you drop below 1/2 time. It is rare that someone can make the payments on their student loan when that 6 months is up, along with paying for housing and such.
Credi cards don't have the deferment options that student loans do so they will cause you more harm quicker than the student loans.

I think this new feature is going to cause a few heartaches before it is perfected.

It's a good idea if you aren't worried about your privacy, because the same chip that allows you to just hold the card up also allows a few other things that might not be so great.
When all cards go to this feature I will probably use my debit card by going to a cash machine, pulling out what I think I need in a couple of days, and then, when I go shopping, pay with cash.
The card in your purse or pocket will eventually be read by machines that are inside the stores, without you actually being in them. Its something my husband an I have talked about recently with all the commercial phsing that "smooth checkout" and then everything coming to a screeching halt when someone pulls out cash.
Why do you think they are so hot to have us stop using actual money?

I think that one spends more money when it is with a credit card. Having the real money on the other hand, makes you control a little bit more. At least it works with me. I hope they will come up with some kind of envelope to protect the card from getting charged if you don't pull it out, just like the bad to protet the "Easy P***" from charging.
