I was looking over this site and was thinking of getting the "Discover Student Card - Monogram Collection" card. Is this a good choice or not?

I've gotten my last two credit cards from this site and they've never given me problems. So I'm starting to rely on this site more then any other.

So I wanted a second opinion about if to go for it or not?

If you are a student who is ready to responsibly start building your credit, then yes, get this card! And get it now before you're required to have your parents holding your hand to get a credit card, as outlined by the new Credit Card Reform Bill.

The Discover Student Card is a great card for students because you're able to earn cash back for all your purchases. The monogram series is popular also because you get to carry a truly personalized card.

Just remember to pay your balances off in full each and every month and to only charge what you can afford to pay back. When starting out, we always recommend to only put the necessities on your card, such as groceries and gas. Consider your credit score like your school GPA; if you get straight D's your freshmen year in college, it's going to take a long time to bring your GPA back up even close to a 4.0! So be responsible with your credit card so you won't have to work to bring it back up when you truly need it to buy a house, a car, etc.
