Does anyone have one of these? Does it take very long to be able to claim any of the rewards?

Some of the rewards have so many requirements that by the time you go for the reward, it means very little.Originally Posted by trickrtreat

Instead of the credit cards, I prefer the discount cards... according to what you spend, you can get a lot more benefits tha n with a credit card...
Is there a high rate on these cards.
Yeah I have a grocery credit card and honestly I don't think about the rewards because they mean little to me. I think after I spend like 500 dollars on groceries I receive like 5 or 10 bucks savings on certain items.
The average family of three spends five hundred in less than three weeks. So, that's not bad if you pay off the card right away.
My sister has a grocery card that gives her benefits with the gas station owned by the same chain. She lives in Spain, and she spends around 120 Euros every week. She gets a lot of discounts already, around 20 to 30 Euros a month, and she also gets discounts when filling up with their gas station. There she saves around 3 to 4 Euros when she fills up. I see that as better than any other rewards!
Don't you think the number of discounts is an indication of how much an item might be over priced?
I can't compare it with the US because i haven't been liv ing there in 4 years, but I compare it with Berlin, where there are NO card programs or cupons on the grocery stores, and Berlin is ALWAYS cheaper... so yes, you are probably right. But at the same time, is more what she gets back than having a credit card.Originally Posted by SageMother

Charging consumables, like groceries, has always seemed a bit dangerous to me. You could have a balance well over what you make in any given months, quickly.Originally Posted by berlinlife06
