Default Best 2% Cash Back Card!?!?!?!?!?

I was wondering if anyone has thouhts on the NEW Household Bank Cash Back MasterCard.

I know that the card is for people with bad/mediocre credit. However, the rewards are 2% back for every dollar you spend, with no cap. The annual fee is $0 or $39 dollars, depending on your credit.

Let's say if you are approved for the card without an annual fee, could a person make the argument(not including sign up bonuses) that this card is better than the Capital One Venture rewards (which has a $59 annual fee after the first year) and the Fidelity AMEX or VISA (which requires you to sign up for a fidelity investment account). The only card I can think that is better is the Schwab VISA (since it does not have a foreign transaction fee), but alas, it is not accepting new customers.

I guess if you happened to be approved with no annual fee, then yes, it is as good as any of the cards you mentioned. 2% cash back with $39 annual fee (***uming your credit is not super) is not a bad deal. You probably would not get a high credit limit as a Fidelity Amex or cap one venture. But it sure beats any other "bad credit" cards out there. Cards like venture have no FX transaction fee as well, though I suspect that would not be an issue with most folks.

But yes, if your credit ain't great, 2% cash back with a $39 annual fee looks like a good deal to me.
