Default Orchard Bank 2% Master Card - Is there any catch?

Just saw on this site and heard elsewhere that the Orchard Bank is offering a 2% cash rebate master card. Has anyone heard about this? This looks like a great offer?

I have the Orchard Bank Card but no 2% cash back. Hmm - looks like I have to give customer service a call on this.

wow - this looks interesting. But having the reviews here, it looks like you may be approved of certain versions of the card that requires annual fee. So, it may not be so good if you get approved of the platinum version, having to pay an annual fee though you earn 2%. Blue cash pays 1.5% after $6,500 in spending.

Question is : what credit score do you need to get approved for the no annual fee version? Anyone with any experience?

looks interesting. If I combine this with my HSBC Direct, then I get 5% on EDP and 2% elsewhere. Looks like this could potentially be a Power Rewards replacement.

But looks like you may not be guaranteed the no annual fee version. Guess I'll hold out until we get a clearer picture.

This could be one of those cases where they will accept your application for the card that is advertised but issue you an account for a version that isn't nearly as sweet.

Read that fine print or call the company to find out what the exact requirements are.

This sounds too good to be true... I think there might be something behind it all, like a minimum spending to reach that 2%.

That is common and there may be a fee involved.
