I read that your credit score depends also on how many types of credit you have.

so does this mean, VISA, mastercard, american express , and discover?

or does it mean the different banks i open credit lines at like wamu, bofa chase and citi?

It is a combination of all credit that you have, credit cards, credit lines at banks, your mortgage, your auto loans etc
