Default Question about a good credit card for a engagement ring???

I am currently searching for a ring to buy, and i am pretty close to getting one. I was wondering if you would be able to suggest ideas on some good credit cards for me. I have excellent credit, and would try and pay it off in 15 to 24 months. i am making a rather large purchase, somewhere in the range of $7,000 to $10,000 and would only make this one purchase in that 15 to 24 months period.. im am rather scared on what kind of credit card i should look for and get. i think i might also need one that you can write a check with. as you can see i don't know all that much about credit cards, but i know that i dont want to get crushed on interest and any other type of payments other than my large ring payment. please please help me .. thank you so much

Got a few questions about this one.
Why would you have to use a check? Do they not take CC's?
If you do use a check make sure the CC doesn't charge extra fee's because some cards consider it a cash advance.

Also, and please don't take this the wrong way. If the ring is will take you up to 2 years to pay off, do you think that it may be a little over your budget?

Have you considered in-store financing? They usually have no interest financing options for their clients. If you still don't have a card, get one from the store where you are going to buy the ring.
