Default Cash-back or airline miles card? Which saves more?

I spend about $60,000 a year on things considered as "all other purchases". I get about $1000 cashback per year.

However, I will have to start spending $9000 on a plane ticket every year from now on, so is it better off for me to get a cashback or airline miles card?

Would I save more than $1000 (which is my cash-back amount per year) on my travel plans if I use a travel card instead of a cash back card?

    Many thanks for your help.

Tough to say. I suspect that if you combine cash back credit cards, you may get slightly over 2% in rebates.

Can't really answer about the miles unless we know if you fly just one particular airline or not.

Thanks for your answer Mr Credit Card.

I only from Cathy Pacific, from Hong Kong to US back and forth.

So any advice? Cash back or mileage card?
